Because it sounds fancier than just "Photography". Well, that, and the other CK-related photography names were already taken, and I needed somewhere to post my photos (including roller derby). I've been involved in photography since the mid 80's when my parents bought me my first Nikon, a Nikkormat FTN, and have owned probably 20 different Nikon cameras since then. My current camera body includes
a professional Nikon D5, which weighs a ton and can be used for hand-to-hand combat. I am not currently a professional photographer, but I was technically one in the past. I was on staff at SUNY Buffalo's "The Spectrum" student newspaper, including the positions of Photo Editor, Senior Photo Editor, and Contributing Photo Editor. I particularly enjoy photography, and after getting involved in roller derby in 2013, that hobby has been reawakened. This page was created to host this hobby.
