Happy Autism Acceptance Month! As Lily has gotten older, I’ve been a little more hesitant to share publicly about her autism journey. She’s almost a teenager, and I think it’s important for her to be the one who decides what to share and where to share it. With that in mind, I asked her if she wanted to skip making a video this year, and she told me that she really likes making these videos. She is proud of who she is, and she feels like these videos might help people. 🥰 It’s an honor to watch Lily grow up. Her understanding of who she is, and how autism affects her has changed and grown with time. In this video, she has a special message for parents of newly diagnosed children, and newly diagnosed individuals themselves. She also encourages people to be kind to everyone, even (especially) those who are different. So proud of this girl. ❤️ (If you want to find her previous videos, there are two others on my photography business Instagram from April 2025 and April 2023. There are also two on my personal FB page from April 2022 and April 2020. It’s fun to see how much she’s grown!)
