In case you haven't heard...The USS Cleveland arrived in Cleveland today 5/9/26. This will make history as the First-Ever U.S. Navy Warship to Be Commissioned in Ohio.

From the Steel made right here by Cleveland cliffs, to the Sherwin Williams paint on the hull, to the Components made here locally by Parker, there's a lot of
Cleveland pride in this ship.

All flights made with minimum 3000 ft distance. Almost all photos are taken with telephoto 12 or 24x lens.

The USS Cleveland Arrival May 9 2026

with USS Cleveland Legacy Foundation

The ship can be seen via the live webcams now in Michigan on its way into Cleveland for the official Commissioning Ceremony.

It should be arriving tomorrow May 9th at 11am to Cleveland. The ship is designed with a shallow hull allowing it to operate in the nearshore waters of Lake Erie; so it could be as close as a half mile offshore from Vermilion heading west.

PSA - It is illegal to fly a drone within 3000 feet of a Navy Vessel. Do not even try to fly a drone anywhere near the area tomorrow.
