I just read a post from Steve Beard, a fellow Derby Photographer, that Sarah "Sexy Slaydie" McKensie from Gotham Roller Derby and Team USA had passed away wednesday from cancer. She was only 38 years old. My deepest condolences go out to her family in this time of sorrow. As a dedication, like Steve, I wanted to post a few Roller Derby Photos that I photographed of her when she played for Team USA back in 2014. There was an exhibition match in Dallas and then the Roller Derby World Cup as well. Steve Beard has a dedication post as well as more information. I did not really know her but her play on court said a lot about her.
