The Sound Of Silence
“No one dared disturb the sound of silence” meaning that no one dared to say what they truly meant in favor of following the norms of what they were supposed to say.
Garfunkel, introducing the song at a live performance (with Simon) in Harlem, June 1966, summed up the song's meaning as "the inability of people to communicate with each other, and not particularly internationally but especially emotionally, so that what you see around you is people who are unable to love each other."
I’ve been wanting to create an image like this for awhile but never had a phonograph until recently. I tried it during a creative photo shoot with a 3 month old bulldog puppy who was full of curiosity.
