In a world where we're constantly bombarded with carefully curated social media posts, it's easy to fall into the comparison trap. 💔
✋I’m guilty of doing it. Raise your hand below if you are.

BUT it’s not productive and certainly not conducive to moving the needle forward in your business cuz all it does is get you down.

Remember, your life is a unique work of art, and it can't be measured by someone else's yardstick. 💖
Your pace is your pace. Your path is your path. As long as you put your head down and do the work, you’ll get there.
So celebrate your wins, no matter how small, and cherish your own path, for it's filled with lessons, growth, and irreplaceable moments. ✨
So, let's stop comparing, start living and working authentically, and let progress happen at it’s own pace! 🙌

Back in the day, a friend of mine mentioned he was looking for a new agent 🤨 by submitting clear envelops. Of course, the result that approach yielded was minimal. The calls he received were not from the most desirable agencies.

One of the top reasons I see agents asking for a re-shoot…

…is too much makeup in headshots.😱
•
In fact so much so that some reps will flat out say “Don’t wear makeup in your headshots!!”.
•
BUT I don’t agree, (because it tends to look washed out on camera and evening out skin tone makes a big✨ difference in making your headshot more competitive), I completely understand why an agent might say this.

Most actors think headshots are an opportunity to play dress up👗…

…and have a nice photo taken. BUT there’s sooo much more to a headshot than that.

Headshots are a marketing tool🛠️, a business card of sorts. They are *not* simply nice pictures of you.

Headshots are the most important tool your reps rely on to get you work. You need to think of headshots as an opportunity to do business.

HEADSHOTS ARE YOUR BUSINESS CARD.👈

They need to be able to give a potential employee your elevator pitch with your headshots. What is an elevator pitch?
