We were this close to getting rained out, but we decided to stick it out. And I’m so glad we did.

Just as the rain stopped, the skies gave us a double rainbow and then a spectacular sunset, but here’s the thing: we never have to wait around for perfect light. We make our own.

Here’s the sneak peak a lot of you have been asking about… and the backstory: We full well knew that rain was coming. We watched the radar all day and made the call to take our chances. From experience, we know that typically the rainy days have the absolute best sunsets. And the beach after a stormy day is also pleasantly very quiet. So we just… stayed. Hung out. Let it happen. That’s honestly one of my favorite things about Legacy senior portrait sessions. I purposefully only book one Legacy Session per day to allow the time and flexibility to work around real life, real people, and real New England weather so we can create the absolute best portrait experience possible. And if you think this double rainbow is breathtaking, just wait until you see the sunset that showed up afterwards. It was definitely worth the wait.
