Some spaces don’t ask for attention…they command presence quietly.

Hidden in the trees, this home felt less like a property and more like an oasis. The kind of place that immediately slows your breathing the moment you walk in.

Somewhere between a spa, a retreat, and a work of art.

As I moved through the space capturing it, there was this calm that stayed with me the entire shoot. The natural light, the stillness of the marsh, the way the architecture blended into the landscape instead of competing with it… everything felt intentional.

Nothing about it felt loud.It felt serene.Grounding.Like a private escape tucked away from the noise of the world.

My goal with this visual was simple:to make you feel the retreat the same way I felt it while shooting.

Not rushed.Not overdone.Just immersive.

An architectural escape… hidden quietly in the trees.

Yesterday… I felt it.
Not just the love, but the intention behind it.

Love in the messages.
Love in the calls.
Love in the posts.
Love in the gifts.
Love in the flowers… both seen and unseen.

And I’m not even gonna lie… some of y’all almost had me shedding tears reading those messages. lol

This was real. Genuine. Soul-touching.

They say 38 represents harmony, optimism, and balance…
and I stepped into this year in alignment.

No forcing. No chasing. Just receiving.

Yesterday reminded me… the seeds you sow matter. They come back around.

My heart is full. My spirit is happy.

Grateful to God. Grateful for my people.
Grateful for the love.

Year 38… I’m walking in alignment.

Some days you document the story.
Some days you simply step inside of it.

Wednesday… was a little bit of both.

It started with work, capturing a couple of new construction homes, framing spaces before someone calls them home.

Then the day shifted.

Opening day of the Charleston Wine + Food Festival celebrating 20 years.
From the halls of Gibbes Museum of Art to the glow of the Cistern Yard at the College of Charleston, the night unfolded in good food, familiar faces, and a couple of well-earned drinks.

And for once… I wasn’t working.

Just enjoying the moment.
A little work. A little play. The balance matters.

Then it was time to reset, because Thursday was my first day behind the camera for the festival.
