“Behind the scenes” is usually where the magic actually happens 🤍

SMASH CAKE 101 in my book:
I’ve built my business to be family first, always. So if that means siblings tagging along to your sessions, bring them. I truly mean that.

Some of my favorite photos come from these exact moments.. little hands on the glass, curious eyes, the in-between chaos that doesn’t feel posed or perfect… just real.

You never have to worry about your family being “too much” with me. I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and completely yourself, because that’s where the best memories live.

In another note .. how cute is this theme?! “ONE” for the books 📚 ♥️ —- I actually ended up loving the process of making this backdrop more than I expected 🤍

I wasn’t totally sure how it would turn out, I watched a few tutorials and just went for it. There was something oddly therapeutic about ripping, tearing, and layering each piece, glueing the flowers and placing the fairy lights, letting it all come together naturally.

Just creating without overthinking… and trusting it would become something beautiful. 🤩

I want to be clear about my heart behind what I do…

I don’t strive to be the “best,” and I don’t run my business by pushing money or ads. That’s why I keep my pricing low, because my intention has never been about sales. It’s about connection. It’s about building real relationships, lasting friendships, and walking alongside families through this wild, beautiful journey we call life.

You may notice I don’t post or update my page as often as other photographers and that’s simply because I’m truly busy being a wife and a mom. That role is sacred to me, and my business will never come before my immediate family. I know that may sometimes cost me future clients, and that’s okay. The season I’m in matters more to me than constant advertising and I enjoy when I find clients with the same values.

What matters most is that the kids who come to take photos with me enjoy their time, feel safe, and actually want to come back. When parents tell me their kids get excited to see me and take pictures, it means more than I can put into words.

Family is everything to me, and over time my clients often begin to feel like family too. That connection, that trust, is what I value most, and it’s what I hope you feel every time you step in front of my camera.

I also truly don’t mind if you use another photographer. Art is personal, and everyone sees the world a little differently, there is no wrong way to create. But there is a right way to make people feel comfortable, confident, and seen, even when they don’t feel like themselves. That part matters deeply to me.

I just have to give a shout out to this fam. I have been doing their photos for awhile and this last session immediately after, we got hit with norovirus and everything else. Domino effect. It was back and fourth multiple times and the kids stayed home from school alot of the days. Im usually pretty quick to edit but this one took awhile because of being a mom and the sickness around here. They were so patient, kind and understanding. Im so blessed with the clients I have, especially families like this who..well.. GET IT! We need more kind hearted, patient, compassionate people like this. We need to give people grace and allow time for error and correction. We need to have patience!
