I did it! – I have built a flourishing photography business that I am so proud of. One that is not just financially healthy, but has purpose and meaning too. Impacting lives showing true beauty and capturing memories through my lens is so fulfilling. Life is good and I am so very grateful. However, I have a longing for something different…a slower pace. I hear the words “simplicity” and “intentional” and my heart wants to burst out of my chest as I think “YES, that!”. Those words resound with me as I daydream about life, a different kind of life. One that isn’t always jumping in the car scrambling to find the perfect venue for my next shoot. One that doesn’t include chasing sunrises and sunsets, and constantly tracking the forecast. It is time for a change and a new season for me. While I am still busy, it’s a different kind of busy, it’s an intentional kind of busy and I know this is right where I am supposed to be. The chaos of life has slowly shushed as I continue to learn to live with intention and feel the balance in just being, living in the moment, and soaking up as much as I can. So, for now, after lots of thought and prayers for direction, my business doors are closed…my website taken down. My passion and energy for photography is still there and I have a feeling it always will be…in fact, you may still see me, with camera in hand, at sporting events, where it all started, but shooting for fun! For those of you interested, I will continue to post on social media sites. I apologize to all of you who called last year that I simply was not able to accommodate as well as those of you who have called to hire me this year. THANK YOU to my family and friends for building my confidence, encourageing me, and your unwavering support; and to each one of my incredible clients for entrusting me to be part of your special milestones…an honor that I will forever be grateful for.
