NAUG 2798 and NW 1776 are shown hauling TBOX boxcars painted with an impressive red, white, and blue paint scheme at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC during the America 250 Locomotive Celebration. The last photo in this post shows NAUG 2798 riding the turntable later in the day after it was cut off from the train.

I attended the America 250 Locomotive Celebration at the North Carolina Transportation Museum, Spencer, NC over the weekend. It featured a colorful collection of locomotives and rolling stock. The event was attended by a large number of people over 3 days.

Featured in this post is Aberdeen Carolina and Western Railway, ACWR, 5520. I took photos of it on the turntable and at other locations around the museum.

Amtrak 132 leads train 97, the Silver Meteor, stopping at the Jesup, Georgia depot to board passengers.

Going back to 2007...

CSXT 25 and 683 are pictured bringing a coal train into the CSX yard in Augusta, Georgia. The most noticeable differences between then and now are the older locomotive paint schemes and the absence of graffiti on the freight cars.
