Liberty is keeping me company in the office today. 🐾 Please don’t mind the mess on the desk, or the lazy thrown-up bun (editing hair/ don’t care😂) I heard we’re all suppose to show up authentically now or something like that LOL … so I figured I’d share a little peek behind the curtain as to what we’re up to today. 🫶🏻

Working on editing the sweetest Newport engagement session from yesterday and culling the gorgeous Belle Mer wedding we just photographed this past weekend. And just like that we’re back into season baby!!

Just one post from this cutie engagement session in Boston.

We had the most magical light that night; The kind that turns everything soft and golden right before sunset. The harbor was glowing, the air was warm, and the roses were in full bloom along the waterfront. It felt like the whole city slowed down for a moment.

Sessions like this are such a good reminder of why we love photographing in the city. The mix of waterfront views, beautiful architecture, and that dreamy evening light creates the perfect backdrop for moments that feel both relaxed and a little bit editorial.

And honestly… I am so ready for nights like this again.
Long walks along the harbor.
Soft sunset light.
And couples completely wrapped up in each other.

Is there anything more hopeful than a blue sky on a wedding day?

While we're certainly not afraid of a little rain... We love to see a blue sky on any wedding day. Especially when there's to be a tented reception... looking up and seeing those white flags against the powder blue sky... you know it's going to be a perfect evening.

Tent receptions really do have a kind of magic to them, and it’s something that couples and guests can feel the moment they step inside. A sailcloth tent in particular creates an atmosphere that feels both elevated and relaxed at the same time. It's the perfect blank space for any aesthetic.

One of the design trends we’re loving this season is the use of layered color and texture.

From the luxe green invitation suite to the garden-inspired florals in peach and lavender tones and mossy greens, every element worked together to create depth and Romance. Set against the ocean and stone architecture of the Branford House, this ceremony set up felt refined, romantic, and beautifully intentional.

Planning a Boston Engagement Session?

There’s something about the energy of the waterfront in the Seaport that makes engagement sessions feel extra alive. The mix of modern architecture, harbor views, and soft evening light creates a setting that feels both editorial and effortlessly romantic.
Couples often choose the Seaport because it offers such a beautiful variety in a small area... glass buildings reflecting the sunset, the harbor walk with open sky, and quiet corners that still feel intimate in the middle of the city.

For engagement sessions, we usually plan our timing to catch the light just before sunset when the harbor starts to glow and the city softens a bit. That’s when the magic really happens.
If you’re dreaming of a city engagement session with coastal energy, the Seaport is one of our favorite locations to photograph.
