Not only do I get to take photos in my free time but I’m lucky enough to have photography as part of my full time job too! I celebrated my third anniversary of working at the City of Tulsa this month and since starting, I have taken thousands of photos of the mayor, city councilors, ribbon cuttings, events and so much more. The reality though is that 99% of those photos barely see the light of day. We pull the best 1-4 photos for social media and the rest live in One Drive folders and on hard drives to save as historical memories and potential use in the future.
Of the hundreds of photos I’ve taken of former Mayor Bynum, I like to think he has some, like these from the Big Dam Party, saved away to look back on his time as mayor and to maybe show his grandkids someday.
Some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken have been at work events but I rarely post them to this account since they don’t often fit into the typical photographer categories like senior pictures or engagements. I hope you all don’t mind, but you might start to see some more City of Tulsa content here so they don’t live on a hard drive forever☺️
