You donā€™t want to forget thisā€¼ļø

This is your annual reminder to keep an eye on your calendar for home Thunder games āš”ļø When youā€™re scheduling your photo session in OKC, youā€™ll want to avoid all the traffic and craziness that comes with Thunder game days.

And if you canā€™t avoid picking a day when thereā€™s a home game, I would recommend finding a location that isnā€™t close to Paycom.

Godā€™s Word tells us that children are precious blessings, and to protect them and lead them to Jesus.

Matthew 19:14 says ā€œBut Jesus said, ā€˜Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.ā€™ā€

Psalm 127:3 says, ā€œBehold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.ā€

In Matthew 18:5-6, Jesus says, ā€œAnd whoever welcomes one child like this in my name welcomes me. But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall awayā€”it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.ā€

In my business, I donā€™t want to use my clientsā€™ children as content for social media. So, as I continue capturing such special memories for my clients to cherish and hang on the walls of their home, I want to be sure to protect them and their children as much as possible. From now on, this will mean keeping their childrenā€™s faces off of my social media.

A few weeks ago, I announced on social media that, moving forward, I would not be posting children's faces on social media. This was a big decision for me and I want to let you guys know more of my heart behind it on this week's blog!

I love capturing such sweet memories for my clients, and I will continue doing soā€”just not for the entire world to see (and possibly exploit) on social media. While this is a hard decision for me as a business owner, I know it's the right one that will best protect my clients and their children.

Everyone has preferences for their portraits, whether itā€™s the style of colors, lighting, location, or something else that matters to you. So, what happens when you inquire with one photographer, but end up choosing a different photographer to take your pictures?

Finding the right photographer that you will feel comfortable around and has a style of photography you love is so important! Thereā€™s a photographer out there for everyone, and choosing between more than one photographer is perfectly normal.

Something simple and courteous you can do to is to send the other photographers youā€™ve inquired with a message letting them know youā€™ve chosen to go with another photographer or in a different direction. This will not seem rude or offensive because we want to make sure you find the best fit for you and your family.

Itā€™s easy get busy and forget to respond after your initial inquiry, so I wanted to write this post as a simple reminder that as photographers, we care and want to make sure youā€™ll love and cherish your portraitsā˜ŗļøšŸ«¶šŸ»

Iā€™m so excited to finally share these pictures with you all!

While you donā€™t normally see landscape photos on my page, I just had to share these. I went on a family vacation to Italy earlier this year and it was such an amazing trip. You can see more pictures from the beautiful cities of Florence and Pienza now on my new blog! šŸ˜āœØ

This week's blog is a little different than the portraits you'll typically see!

I got to take a family vacation to Italy earlier this year and I'm so glad I finally get to share some pictures with you all! This was a trip of a lifetime and I'm very proud of all the photos I took.

Moving forward, I will not be posting pictures on social media with childrenā€™s faces in them. With all the recent news about AI privacy concerns, Iā€™ve thought a lot about this and feel itā€™s the best way to protect and serve my clients.

What does this mean for PNP and for you?

1ļøāƒ£ From now on, you wonā€™t see childrenā€™s faces on my social media accounts, whether through covering their faces or just posting fewer photos.

2ļøāƒ£ Be sure to subscribe to my free email newsletter! That way, you wonā€™t miss out on blogs with more pictures that wonā€™t be featured on social media.

Iā€™ve already taken steps to make my website more secure. So, while I will take extra precautions and be even more intentional with the images I put on my website moving forward, there will be more pictures featured there than on social media. My website is where clients can see more of my work and decide if they want to book me as their photographer, so the pictures I put on there help them decide if weā€™re a good fit.

3ļøāƒ£ If youā€™re interested in booking a photo session or already have one booked, let me know if you would like your childrenā€™s faces covered on my website. This lets me know how to best serve you and your family.

Children deserve to be protected, and I want to do that with my business.

While social media can be a great tool, posting pictures online is not the reason I take portraits (even though I do love sharing with you all). My goal for every photo session is to capture precious memories for my clients. If posting a few less pictures will protect them and their children, thatā€™s something good I want to do.

Walking by faith without knowing what comes next is hard, but we can trust that God is faithful and in control. He has us safely and securely in His hands, even when we canā€™t see where Heā€™s leading us. He is with us, so we donā€™t need to fear ā¤ļø
