Almost 8 years ago I picked up a camera with the intention of being short term. I wanted to make a little side cash to help supplement leaving my job to stay home with my son who was born with several neurological delays and needs. I quickly realized how much I loved capturing memories for others and connecting with people in some of their most precious moments. I did put the camera down in 2020 after feeling defeated by COVID and never thought I’d pick it up again.

Late 2023 that all changed when I took a chance. Business was a little slow for awhile, but fast forward to today I’m almost fully booked more than half way of this year already. For anyone that’s booked a session with me, just know the same value I started my business on still applies to this day. You probably helped buy a seizure mediation, home health supplies, gas to an out of state appointment, the list goes on and on. And now more than ever, this is so close to being my full time job 🙌🏼 It wouldn’t be possible without the trust of so many people in front of my lens. This job has truly been my most rewarding and I look forward to doing it for as long as I can. If you’ve made it this far in my long rant, thank you for being here. 🫶🏻

For those who may not know, I partnered with a local lifestyle/activewear brand here in Uptown Normal a few months ago and have been capturing all of their branding photos ever since. I’m so incredibly grateful to be part of their journey and support such a deserving local business.

Today, they’ll be hosting an event in Uptown Normal from 10am–7pm alongside several other amazing small businesses! There will be giveaways, free items, and so much more. If you have the time, come shop local 🤎🙌🏼
