It was an unusually warm February day reaching into the 80's. So, what better time to see what's in bloom at the Gardens? The tropical house was thriving with many varieties of orchids. Around the grounds there were many daffodils and camellias as well as other flowering trees showing signs of future blooms.

There was a lot of bird activity out back along the Lynnhaven River. We even had an Ibis hanging out on the edge of the yard. An Osprey made a landing in a tree across the way for a nice view of it. There was also the usual crowd of White Egrets and Night Herons although I didn't get a good picture of them I could see them hanging out in nearby pine trees.
