Awhhhh, how life brings on side quests that just brings everything together.

If you have been a client for the past year, or are apart of our Facebook group you probably saw that our Elly is pregnant. She asked me if I could photograph her birth of her son, and of course I had to break out the skills for birth photography. It’s been 5 years since my last birth.

While bo***ir is my focus, birth photography will always be my passion. I loved the documentary style of capturing the human strength. So, here I was. At 12am. Packing up the cameras and batteries and extra memory cards for another round of birth photography.

And with that, the Steve Irwin of birth photography is back.

Imagine a Renaissance painting…

Pastels in the Gothic Studio… and I honestly think they deserve a permanent spot. 🖤🌸

There’s just something about soft pink lace surrounded by candlelight that feels straight out of a dark romance novel.

Sweet meets sinful. Delicate meets dangerous.

We photographed this session a year ago, and it’s still one of my favorite examples of how mixing two completely different aesthetics can create something unforgettable.

The Greenhouse Studio, and the magic you bring.

Last month we redid the corner of this studio to expand the greenhouse abilities! We closed down the pool add on to expand and build a library within the studio. Allowing for everyone to come in and enjoy the overgrowth of flowers and s**t.

Huge shoutout to Elly for placing all of these flowers together. I love the art we create at the studio.

🖤✨ There is something incredibly powerful about documenting motherhood in a way that feels unapologetically YOU. ✨🖤

Yesturday I had the honor of photographing our very own Elly’s maternity session, and instead of soft pastels and flower fields… we turned off the lights.

Blacklight.
Neon paint.
UV glow.
Pure art.

Every brushstroke became a reminder that pregnancy is creating life. It deserves to be celebrated in whatever way tells your story.

One of the things I love most about maternity sessions is that there are no rules. You can be soft and romantic… dark and moody… colorful and bold… or completely covered in glowing paint under blacklights.

These images are proof that maternity photography can be every bit as artistic and empowering as bo***ir.

I am so incredibly excited for Elly and her growing family, and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect way to celebrate this chapter. 💜

Would you ever do a blacklight maternity session? I have a feeling this is going to become one of my favorite things to create. ✨

Gothic Studio, how we love you.
I always get asked what makes the gothic studio pop. Is it the candles? The wet look? Or the overall design? Honestly, it’s the clients.

The gothic studio really brings out the dark romance and spicy side naturally. It really allows for you to become immersed into the world of freedom.

Also being covered in the wet look doesn’t hurt. 🔥
