What: National Preparedness Month is an observance each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time!
When: September 28th from 12 PM to 4 PM
Where: The American Legion Post 327

Norfolk, VA 23518
Attractions:
● Face painting
● Food Trucks and Vendors
● Music
● Carnival Games
● Hot Dog Eating Contest
● Watermelon Eating Contest
● Pie in the Face
● And so much more!
Hurricane preparation:
● The American Legion will have a table set up with useful information
● Various nonprofits that will come and set up a table to provide information
● First Responders will be here
○ Firefighters/EMS
○ Police
○ CERT
○ Sheriff's Department
