Hey gang, I’ve got a few pieces in the Hampton Roads Pride Exibition and will be at the artist reception this Saturday! The exhibit will be up until June 15, so swing through.🙂

Set a reminder for Saturday, April 20 as it makes the opening of the 2024 Renewal Outdoor / Indoor Sculpture Exhibition as well as the Artist Reception. Come out and celebrate the wonderful sculptures that were handmade by artists in the Virginia and North Carolina areas!

Exhibitions running concurrently will be the Hampton Roads Pride Exhibition and Urban Landscapes: Photographs of Cuba by Dave Chance. Both exhibitions will run from April 20-June 15.

Hey there gang— some of you might remember a portrait series I did years ago of local (757) LGBTQIA+ folks for Hampton Roads Pride. Well, it’s coming out as a book on December 12! It also includes some extra never before seen photos as well. I can’t express enough how happy I am that these stories have a tangible home.
Here’s a recent interview about it, done by the good people at RVA Magazine.😀

Hi. It’s been a minute.🙂
Sooooo…
HAPPY NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY!
I’m thrilled to say that the Pride Portrait series will finally be coming to life in book form this December as “Without Apology- Portraits of Pride.” After years of setbacks, growing pains, and lessons learned— I found the perfect publisher to bring this collection of stories into the world. Thank you, Cesca (Honey House Press) for being a champion to all of the subjects in this book.

Happy Pride everyone! Of everything I’ve photographed, I’m most proud of this. When I got this project, I was in a pretty rough place. It really gave me a reason to get up in the morning. I’ll be forever grateful to everyone involved.

PRIDE is a portrait series of LGBTQ people in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. It was photographed from January to June of 2017, and was commissioned by AP_Math  for Hampton Roads Pride . Each of the stories included in this series is in the participants own words.
