When I say I was STRESSED yesterdayā€¦ šŸ˜«šŸ˜«šŸ˜«

Imagine having a client come in from Florida for her photoshootā€¦

ā€¦and itā€™s absolutely POURING. šŸ˜­ā›ˆļøšŸ˜¬

The morning of her beach session, Mother Nature decided it was the perfect time for a thunderstorm.

We made a backup plan. We set a rain date. We prepared to pivot.

Then we arrived at the beach.

Blue skies.
Sailboats.
We had our choice of spots.

When I say it was PERFECTā€¦ I mean it was exactly how it was supposed to happen.

The earlier storm cleared the beach. The sand was dry. The clouds were dramatic in the best way.

It took me right back to my days shooting bo***ir on the beaches of Hawaii, where Iā€™d watch the forecast all day just to have it change five minutes before we started.

It was literally POURING. Like wipers on full blast and struggling to see just moments before we created these.

You can make the perfect plan, but life rarely follows the script. Some of the most unforgettable moments happen because youā€™re willing to trust what unfolds instead of fighting it.

My clients donā€™t have a confidence issue. They have a ā€œremembering who the f**k they areā€ problem.

The great thing? Itā€™s temporary.

Itā€™s easy to get disconnected.

I get it. I feel like Iā€™m coming out of several deaths and rebirths of self myself.

If you arenā€™t taking care of your householdā€¦
or your partnerā€¦
or your kidsā€¦
or your careerā€¦
Youā€™re finding time to take care of YOU.

Your passion gets buried under somebody elseā€™s to do list and youā€™re trudging along waiting for that spark to come back.

One thing life has taught me:
If I donā€™t protect that spark, nobody else will.

The world will gladly consume every ounce of your energy if you allow it.

There will always be another emailā€¦another load of laundryā€¦another meetingā€¦

Thereā€™s always going to be somebody else needing something from you.

But there is only one YOU.

And the longer it takes you to come back to yourself, the easier it is to believe that those parts of you disappeared.

They didnā€™t.

You are still there.

Just quietly waiting for permission to let yourself come out to play againā€¦when we BOTH know that you are loud AF.

So stop playing with yourself.

Iā€™m here to deliver a message:
Happiness is not something you need to EARN.

You were never supposed to abandon yourself in the first place.

If it brings you happiness and growth, it is an investment. Not an expense.

ā€œI was a bit nervous. I wasnā€™t as confident as I was I think with my body compared to the first time around because I have gotten a little thicker. It also has been three years since Iā€™ve been in front of the camera, so I had to mentally prepare to be vulnerable.ā€

Life happens. Your body will change. Your mindset will change. What matters is that you stay connected to YOU!

After her session she saidā€¦

ā€œIā€™m not as hard on myself physically as I was before. Iā€™m learning that Iā€™m hot AF šŸ”„

I enjoyed this session as much as the first one! The vibe was different, but in a good way. I was bolder in this session.

KILLED IT! Gimme all the pampering! It was fun sitting around, getting pretty, and just talking about life. I felt like I was at a slumber party hanging with the girls.

Both of my experiences have been šŸ¤ŒšŸ½ Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. You are the biggest hype man, which fueled the fire to produce some fire shots lol Iā€™m already wanting to do session 3 šŸ˜¬ā€œ

Iā€™m so glad that she didnā€™t let how she was feeling about her body in that moment prevent her from showing up for herself because DAMN.

Whoever said money cannot buy happiness has obviously never paid for a divorce.

Iā€™ll forever say that it was the best money I ever spent. My freedom cost me so much. It was worth every cent.

Cut it all away. Start with a clean edge.

And then weave together the life they said was impossible.

Real booties have cellulite, acne, stretch marks, and jiggle.

You and your mama spent a lifetime being sold a perfect body image by people who never wanted women to feel powerful to begin with.

Put the bikini on. A flat stomach is not a requirement.
