I firmly believe that every single human needs to document themselves.

Life will constantly provide you with reasons to put it off.

But when you’ve sat with a woman planning her double mastectomy…
Or a couple desperately needing a lifeline to their intimacy…
Or a man who cannot look in a mirror without beating himself down for not having a six pack…

You realize that documenting THIS time has to do with looking perfect.

Sessions get planned and life happens and the timing always seems to come exactly when it needs to.

It’s being able to see yourself with loving compassion when you’ve spent years picking yourself apart.

It’s remembering that there is still desire, connection, and something worth reaching for when life gets hard.

It’s having photographs of a body you know is about to change, and space to feel everything that comes with that.

I wish we gave ourselves permission before something forced us to recognize how much this moment matters.

Before the diagnosis.
Before the distance.
Before another decade spent believing we haven’t earned the right to be seen.

You deserve photographs of yourself that you love. In the body you have. In the life you’re living.

You deserve to see that you are worth of being witnessed NOW.

There is a version of you here today that you will never get back.

Let yourself be in the f**king photographs, just as you are.

I’m still recovering from our end of summer pool party weekend!!!

When I say a good time was had, I think that was an understatement 🖤

Move.

Let that wave of electricity run through you.

Blow your own damn mind so that you stop second guessing yourself every time you look in the mirror before walking out the door.

You can keep putting it off…

And when next summer rolls around, you’ll be nowhere closer to where you thought you’d be.

Still in your head.
Still second guessing.

Instead of knowing who TF you are and what an absolute privilege it is to be loved by you.

That first step IS the hardest.

One of the most freeing parts of connecting with my sensuality was realizing my body was never the problem.

My body does not need to change before it deserves to be explored.

Sexy does not have an age, size, gender, or relationship status.

You don’t have to have be in a relationship to explore the connection you have to your sexuality.

I am allowed to take up space. To speak up.

I do not need anyone’s permission to feel desirable.

I can be nervous and still do things that make me uncomfortable.

I deserve to see myself through kinder eyes.

F**k what they think. They probably aren’t even happy with themselves.

This body is mine.

Watching other people come to the same realization? It’s one of the greatest things to witness 🖤

When I say I’m a photographer, I normally get the “Oh that’s cute” look as they ask what I do full time. You know…For my REAL job.

What they don’t know is that my “cute” business made me my first $100k by 24.

My cute business allowed me to leave a toxic marriage as a single mom at 26 without struggling.

My cute business has transformed my entire idea of what is possible, what I am capable of, and shown me that a bit of delusion and grit can provide the life of my dreams.

Building a career around making art and pleasure, setting my own schedule, traveling, raising my babies, and getting paid to create a life that actually feels like mine?

We had our last beach session of the summer and I am just not ready to be done. Tonight was PERFECT 😍😍😍

I originally started bo***ir on the beaches of Hawaii. Something about creating on the sand in water just has my creative heart bursting!!!
