β€œSlut.” β€œBitch.” β€œYou’ll never be loved.”

Those are just three of the words I have heard throughout my life.
From the outside, people have labeled me with those names and have said that no one will ever love me the way β€œhe” did.
But what people don’t see is what happens on the inside. Those words hurt. They create self-doubt. They chip away at my self-esteem and my sense of worth because, after hearing them over and over again, I begin to believe them.

Over the years, I have given up a lot. I know I am not perfect, and I have never claimed to be. I have acknowledged my mistakes and admitted my faults, yet those same things continue to be used against me, causing me to question myself all over again.

Even so, I have fought my way back, and I will continue to fight through every hurtful thing that has been said about me and every negative thing that may still be said in the future.
We all have days when we slip back into those negative thoughts, but I am choosing to focus on the positives. I am choosing to keep moving forward. If someone truly wants to know my story, I have always said to ask me. Unfortunately, many people choose to believe the version of events that best fits the storyteller’s narrative instead of seeking the truth.

I refuse to let anyone tear me down anymore. I am done allowing other people’s opinions to define my worth.
I am who I amβ€”faults and all. I am not perfect, and I don’t have to be. I am imperfectly perfect in my own way, and that is enough.
If someone doesn’t like that, maybe it’s time they look in the mirror and reflect on themselves instead of judging me.

I will continue to stand tall, continue to heal, and continue to become the person I know I am meant to.

Kat’s story:

I’ve always been told from a young age that I was never going to amount to anything, I’m not beautiful, I will never have someone love me because I am β€œfat” , β€œa big girl”, β€œno one will want to marry you because you are fat” ..

Those words stuck with me for so long.

I spent 11 years thinking that the person I was with was the one I would be with forever.
I go to work one day and he left me, but was not man enough to say something face to face he did it on Facebook messenger. I thought I was β€œdevastated” and all of those words came back to haunt me because of how he was treating me.

All the work I did for myself to accept my body .. gone… until I met someone new. He has helped me turn my heart and mind back to feeling accepted for who I am, he loves my heart, my mind and me for me.. everything else is just a β€œbonus” in his eyes.

My mindset changed back and I finally felt like me again and have kept this mindset that I am beautiful and I deserve to have so much in life. But sometimes we need help and reminders along the way.

Having someone who sees you for who you are brings a sense of peace and belonging in a world where when you go out in public people focus on appearance or more.

Today is the day I say F**k It and I’m going to live my life for who I am, be who I am, and truly accept the skin I’m in.

Having someone who sees me for me, and tells me β€œI want all of youβ€œ is empowering and inspires me to be a better me.

Everyyyyyy once in a while I have a post pop off and I gain a bunch of new followers.
and I’m stoked that this time it was my ✨F**k-Perfect Project✨ content that reeled ya in!
I poured so much soul and heart into this group session project, and I have loved sharing parts of it with you all. I hope you’ll stick around as I keep sharing more from that.

I’m a wife & mom of five, first and foremost in life. πŸ₯°
I’m a nature and animal lover, book nerd, yogi, caffeine addicted homebody. Music and art are where my soul thrives. πŸ’«

I’m a woman who spent years learning that self worth isn’t something you earn. But something ✨we learn.✨
and often times we’ve had the wrong voices preaching.

And that’s exactly why I do what I do.

CMP was never meant to be a place where women come to become someone else. It’s a place where women come to remember who they already are, and a soft place to relish in it.

The woman who has spent years putting everyone else first. The woman who hasn’t felt comfortable in her own skin in too long. The woman who looks in the mirror and only sees the things she wishes she could change.
I see her every day. And I get the privilege of showing her what everyone else sees.

there’s some trash in my comments that keep proving why projects like this matter. why making other women feel seen for who they are MATTERS. why doing this type of work is so imperative. why existing loudly is so important for us as women.

the words written on these bodies weren’t written by us.
they were learned β€” from school hallways, ex’s, family members, social media. sometimes over many months and years. from trash like those of you leaving negative comments on my previous post. (they’ve been since deleted and blocked.)

then society acts shocked when women struggle with body image, self-worth, confidence, and their sense of belonging.

this photo isn’t radical because women are standing in lingerie. it’s radical because, even with all the hate, women are STILL standing here anyway. after years of being judged, criticized, and told their bodies were subject to public opinion and open for discussion.

The F**k-Perfect Project 🌿

this vision has lived in my head for months.
a vision of women coming together β€” not to compare or compete, not to shrink themselves or apologize for their flaws.
women coming together to exist. to fully embody ourselves. to be seen. to be celebrated.
✨TO SIMPLY EXIST.✨

and that vision finally came to fruition.
these women came together. women of different walks of life, women who are survivors, warriors and saviors. women with scars and trauma and stories to tell. women who are healing and growing and living loud in their truths.

this project wasn’t about the lingerie.
because you know what’s REALLY sexy?
women who take up space. who exist proudly within their body. who aren’t afraid of being different. who refuse to box themselves in to a made up standard.

The F**k-Perfect Project was truly the embodiment of freedom.🌿
