Hi Friends, it is with a heavy heart to tell you that I am stepping back from photography for the foreseeable future. This was a hard decision to make that took a lot of thought, but for many reasons, it’s the best decision for my family and this season of life that I am in.

I pursued photography because of a love and passion I have for it, and the feeling I get when I see beautiful photos. It was meant to be a fun side gig to my full-time job of designing kitchens. However, it turned into so much more, and I was lucky to gain so many wonderful and loyal clients over the last few years. You all made photography so much fun and I am so grateful and appreciative of each and every one of you!

However, now that I am a Mama, my time has become much more limited and valuable. Scheduling photoshoots and finding time to edit has proven to be difficult. Since Molly came into our lives, my goals and focus have shifted and I am just enjoying the Mom era that I’m in. I want to soak up all the time I have with my little one. Ultimately, with all the big and small things going on in our life right now, photography just doesn’t fit in.

l am not saying a final goodbye to Abby McGuire Photography, I am saying see you later. I still have a love for photography and have some cool dreams for it that I’d like to pursue at some point, but for now, I am focusing on my family and our family business, Carmel Kitchens. Thank you for the love and support over the years, and I hope we can meet again someday, behind the lens!

Happy Easter! ✝️ I love this day. And here comes the phrase of the day, He is Risen!!! 🙏🏼

It has been a rough week, as Molly was battling a high fever. We’ve been attached at the hip the last few days, around the clock. But I love the 24hr snuggling and being her comforter. So grateful that today of all days, she is feeling leaps and bounds better! 💟

Yesterday we lost our sweet Grandma. She was THEE sweetest and most loving Grandma. I was beyond lucky to have her. She loved her family so much. Loved her daughters, grandkids, and great grand babies. She loved Andrew and thought so highly of him, and couldn’t get enough of Molly. She always wanted to see Molly, see pictures of her, and videos of her. I used to tell Grandma to keep holding on until I can have a baby so she can meet our baby. She did, and boy did she love on her every chance she got!

She lived a very happy and beautiful life and had two great loves. For 95 years she was surrounded by love. Can’t get much better than that.

She made me feel so loved. She was so warm and would always tell me how much she loved me. I will miss her smile, her sweet voice, and holding her hand. I love you Grandma and I know you are greeted in Heaven by Papa, Nick, Aunt Mindie, and all your loved ones. One day our book club will be reunited, and I’ll actually read the books ❤️ Miss you
