Friends, family, and clients, it is with a heavy heart that I announce I will no longer be doing photography.
My goal has always been to keep things affordable because I believe everyone should have access to forever memories.
Unfortunately, the industry progresses whether my goals of affordability remain intact or not. I have pushed through and continued to take images at zero profit for a couple of years now because photography has always been my passion, but at this point continuing photography is just not feasible. The cost of photography upkeep with SD cards, subscription services, and other general maintenance has just gotten to be too much. In order to keep doing photography, I would need to triple my pricing and that just is not something I want to do.
On top of the cost, my gear has gotten quite old and is no longer producing the quality I love in my images. The cost to repair/upgrade equipment is not something I see doable in pursuing.
I'm hoping this is just a goodbye for now, or a see you later. But with the current economy, who knows where things will lead us.
To those that have supported me, thank you SO much for trusting me to be the one to capture your memories. If you have albums with me, please download ASAP, as all albums will be removed on July 1st.
This is something I've tried to avoid for awhile now, but the background upkeep is just not feasible. I love and appreciate all of you so much, and I look forward to a future where things can be affordable again.
