Fall is beautiful… but winter is peaceful.

The sun hangs low and wraps families in the softest light, schedules finally breathe, and sessions feel slower and more connected.

When possible, we just wait for a slightly warmer day. I keep my schedule pretty loose so we have flexibility 🥰

If you didn’t get photos last fall, you didn’t miss out — winter is secretly my favorite season for family photos 🤍

This is the last time it will be just you and her 🥹
The last season where she’s your only baby, the only little voice calling “mama,” the only set of tiny hands reaching for you.

And wow… that’s a tough reality sometimes.

There’s excitement and anticipation and so much love for the baby you haven’t met yet — but also this quiet awareness that something is changing. That this chapter, exactly as it is, is coming to a close.

So we let her twirl.
We let her cuddle close.
We let her climb into mom’s lap and feel the baby kick and be part of it all.

Because one day soon, she won’t be your only anymore — but she will be something just as important.
A big sister.
And a built-in best friend.

And when she looks back on these photos someday, she’ll see it clearly:
She was never replaced.
She was promoted 💗
