Last week I talked about Shutter Speed on how to get the tires in motion.

This week, let's talk about Aperture.

Shooting with a wide (or "larger") aperture means you will be more likely to separate or isolate your subject from the background elements with creating some bokeh or slightly "out of focus" background. This is showcasing the "depth of field" in your photograph or frame.

This is a common technique used in storytelling, to make your focus stay on the subject.

Easiest way to understand aperture: The smaller the aperture number, the more light enters the camera.
