We have temporarily reactivated our page.
After taking the page down, we heard from several currently booked clients who were understandably concerned about losing another way to contact us. To help eliminate that stress, we have chosen to reactivate the page TEMPORARILY so our currently booked couples can contact us and so we can continue sharing clips and content from their weddings.
We do need to establish some very clear boundaries while the page is active.
Given the ongoing circumstances, we will not be allowing concerns, complaints, allegations, or negative discussion OF ANY KIND to be posted in the comment sections of our page. This applies to ALL posts. There is no need for these matters to be handled through Facebook comments to begin with. If you have a legitimate concern, please be an adult and contact us directly at [email protected]. Our public comment sections will remain positive and focused on our couples and the work being shared. Comments that violate this boundary will be removed. Individuals who repeatedly or intentionally disregard it will be banned from the page. A statement regarding the broader situation will be made at an appropriate time. Until then, we will NOT be discussing the situation publicly through this page.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS:
For clients who have chosen to cancel their services with us, an update will be provided on October 16 regarding our PLAN for issuing outstanding refunds. The reasoning is simple: before providing dates, timelines, or making additional commitments, we need to have the appropriate discussions with a legal professional regarding how these matters should be handled moving forward. Those discussions are expected to take place this week. To be EXTREMELY clear: October 16 is NOT a refund date. October 16 is the date we will provide an update regarding the refund plan and next steps. We do not want to provide dates or make promises until we are in a position to provide information we can actually stand behind.
If you have cancelled and already emailed us, WE GOT YOUR EMAIL. We are currently waiting to respond to cancellation-related correspondence pending those legal discussions. There is no need to repeatedly resend the same request.
EDITING & CURRENT CLIENTS:
If you have contacted us asking for an update regarding your photos, video, or editing, you are NOT being intentionally ignored. We have been absolutely CONSUMED by the ongoing situation and are currently receiving approximately 20–30 messages per day for a variety of reasons. Right now, matters surrounding the current situation have had to take priority. Editing and existing client work are still being addressed. We understand that waiting for an update can be frustrating. Please understand that the current communication volume is significantly higher than normal.
RAW FOOTAGE:
We have received A LOT of requests for raw footage. We understand why, especially given the current circumstances. Typically, we send raw footage after editing has been completed. One of the reasons for this is storage. We simply do not have enough space in our Dropbox account to simultaneously upload and store 10+ TB of wedding footage for everyone currently requesting it.
At this time, we will NOT be sending raw footage digitally.
We have also received requests to mail physical copies of footage. We are completely fine with doing this. However, we are running low on storage devices, and purchasing a drive for every client requesting their footage would cost us hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. We simply cannot afford to purchase that many drives simultaneously. If you would like your raw footage mailed to you, you may purchase a USB flash drive, external drive, or compatible SD card and mail it to us. We can transfer your footage to the device and mail it back to you.
PLEASE KEEP STORAGE SIZE IN MIND.
A single wedding can easily exceed 150–200GB because of the quality and formats we record in. If you are purchasing a device specifically for your footage, we recommend AT LEAST 256GB. Depending on your wedding and the amount of footage recorded, a larger device may be necessary. If you’re unsure what size you need, email us BEFORE purchasing one. If your request for raw footage is simply because you’re concerned about whether your footage is still safely in our possession, that is completely understandable. You do not need to purchase anything just for reassurance. Simply email us and ask. We are willing to provide reasonable proof that we still have your footage.
Please understand that this limitation is not because we are refusing to provide footage. We are a high-volume company dealing with a large number of requests simultaneously. Uploading hundreds of gigabytes per wedding for numerous clients at once requires a significant amount of cloud storage, bandwidth, and expense. For the time being, physical transfer using a client-provided storage device will be the available option for clients requesting raw footage outside of their normal delivery process.
TEXTING US:
PLEASE EMAIL RATHER THAN TEXT.
Our business number is also my personal cell phone. That means client messages are mixed together with personal calls and texts, marketing calls and messages, spam, and everything else that inevitably finds its way to a phone number. Because of the current volume, we CANNOT guarantee a response to text messages at this time. Please consider this notice that if you choose to text rather than email, you may not receive a response. Messages sent in the middle of the night or during the early morning are especially likely to be missed. A significant amount of our text-message volume comes in overnight and early in the morning, and individual messages can very easily get buried.
For anything requiring a response, documentation, or follow-up, please email:
[email protected]
Email is currently the most reliable way to contact us.
CALLING US:
Calls from unknown numbers are currently being screened and will not automatically ring through.
When you call, you will first be greeted by an automated screening system. You CAN still reach me this way. When prompted, clearly state WHO you are AND WHY you are calling. Simply saying something like “Jeff” will not guarantee that your call is answered. I need enough information to identify who is calling and what the call concerns before accepting an unknown-number call.
Given the ongoing circumstances, I am currently only accepting unknown-number calls when the caller identifies themselves and provides a reason for the call. This allows me to distinguish legitimate client and business calls from the volume of unrelated calls currently being received. If you cannot get through, LEAVE A VOICEMAIL. I can see and keep track of voicemails much more easily, and I will return legitimate calls as appropriate.
HARASSMENT & OUR CURRENTLY BOOKED CLIENTS:
Hateful comments, threats, targeted harassment, or knowingly false statements will not be tolerated. They will be documented and, when appropriate, reported through the proper channels. We also ask that our currently booked couples be LEFT OUT of this situation.
Attempts to identify and contact our currently booked couples for the purpose of intentionally interfering with existing business relationships or causing professional harm will be documented and MAY RESULT IN APPROPRIATE LEGAL ACTION, if appropriate and actionable. Please, just be an adult and don’t. Our currently booked couples have absolutely no reason to be dragged into this situation. They do not need additional stress leading up to their wedding day. The situation and the allegations surrounding it are already publicly available online. If one of our currently booked couples has concerns after seeing that information, they are perfectly capable of contacting us directly and making whatever decision they feel is best for their wedding. They DO NOT need to be sought out, contacted, added to group chats, or pulled into an ongoing dispute that they were never part of in the first place. Please leave our currently booked couples out of it.
Again, this page is being reactivated TEMPORARILY because our currently booked clients expressed concern when it disappeared and because we still need a place to share their work. It is NOT being reactivated as a forum to debate the ongoing situation. If you have a legitimate business concern, email us. If you are waiting on an edit, we are still working. If you have cancelled, please watch for the October 16 update regarding the refund PLAN. If you are concerned about your raw footage, email us and we can address that concern directly.
Otherwise, we ask that the comment sections remain positive and focused on the couples whose memories are being shared here.
OTHER COMPANIES:
We also want to clarify questions regarding Shelterbelt. Shelterbelt was a business concept created in May. No LLC was ever filed for Shelterbelt, and no clients were ever booked or payments accepted under the Shelterbelt name. The social media accounts simply remained online after the concept was created. The original idea behind Shelterbelt was to develop a separate offering focused on a higher level of service, different packages and pricing, and a more high-end/luxury approach to wedding photography and videography. The concept was never moved forward into an operating business and never took on clients.
We are unsure where the claim came from that Shelterbelt was created during the current situation as a way to bypass or avoid the allegations being made against TwoFold Visuals. That is simply not when or why it was created. The concept had existed since May, and nothing had been posted to its social media accounts for a month or more before the current situation began. Shelterbelt never progressed into an operating business and never took on clients.
We have since deactivated the pages to prevent confusion.
Thank you.
And one final thought:
Don’t believe everything you read on the internet or social media. Chances are, you’re not seeing 100% of the facts, context, or circumstances surrounding a situation. That’s something worth keeping in mind before making the decision to publicly tear down a business, an individual, or their livelihood based solely on what you’ve read online. There are multiple sides to every story. Ours will be shared when the time is appropriate. We are more than excited to share our side of the situation appropriately and professionally.
