Let's discuss style for a minute. 
 
For years I have battled with myself on my artistic approach to shooting and editing. Many individuals want to scroll through an Instagram page and see uniformity. Uniformity in color, in design elements, in mood, in posing, in style. Many photographers do that and that is perfectly okay.  
 
There are also many individuals who wish to tailor their photography session to their personality, their emotions and feelings, their chosen setting, heck, even to compliment their home decor.  
 
It has taken me years to accept and to love my diverse photography portfolio. Style to me is treating each client and each session individually and capturing all the raw emotion, design elements, and beauty that goes along with them. To shoot and to edit off what feels right to both myself and my clients.  
 
This wonderful individual came to me with a desire to incorporate boho vibes in her session. So being that we live in the greenest state in the USA, we headed to the beach to a field of cattails, played with some sunlight, and made it happen. It's all about what feels right!

This couple is a sign to trust your mothers instinct. A’s mom came home one day and told him she had a fellow teacher at school who was single and a perfect match for him. He took her word, took A out for a dinner that lasted hours, fell in love, and are now planning a wedding and a beautiful life together. Trust your mom!

Last summer I had the privilege of capturing the unity of two of my very dear friends. They exchanged their vows at the base of this historic lighthouse in Cape Cod, MA. (Of course the clouds dissipated and the sun began to radiate just as they said I do). It was the most intimate evening, just the two of them surrounded by 20 of their closest friends and family. On brand with Cape Cod, they served up their guests a traditional New England clam bake. They wrapped up the evening with a sunset walk on the beach, back patio dancing, and homemade icecream.
It makes me so happy to see individuals curate their wedding to what is so special to them. Their is no right or wrong way to have a wedding, only your way!

Did you know that the history of the wedding ring dates back to ancient Egypt. They placed braided reeds and h**p on the fourth finger of the left hand as they believed there was a ‘vein of love’ that ran from that finger directly to their heart.

For a couple that loves coffee, I couldn’t imagine anything more fitting than a 7am photo shoot, downtown, with a trip to the cafe to follow! For you SWFL summer folks, consider a morning shoot to avoid the heat and those crazy evening thunderstorms!
