After being inspired by her work from afar, I recently met Kim at her home in Hamersville, OH. She operates Fighting Chance Rescue, a nonprofit focused on horse rescue and rehabilitation.
Animal rescue is often thankless and at times gut-wrenching work—not to mention costly. FCR takes in horses that need critical care, providing therapies that most rescues cannot. Kim works tirelessly to give horses a second chance when people and policy fail them.
