WOW! We're up to THREE selections for Lil Yoyo And The Robot Shorty, this time for The Indie Gathering International Film Festival! My schedule is getting filled up with these festivals and can't wait to meet the other filmmakers there along with watching this film again with a new audience!

I am excited to be working with Brandon and Rosebelle again to tell this story.

As I am building a career as a filmmaker, I am always looking for projects with a story worth telling. Stories with an impact, lesson, or that will make an audience feel for the characters.

This film is one of those stories.

"Champions are Made" gym ad with Pryor Jr Aaron and TKO Performance and Fitness Center

A few months ago, I got an idea for a Nike style commercial video ad for a boxing gym using this slogan. So I started planning.

After reviewing other ads for inspiration, a phone call with Aaron and a production meeting with August Schweitzer, we were finally ready to shoot.

I’m very excited to add this video to my portfolio of work. Thank you to everyone involved who helped make this happen

This time it's for Loveland Shorts Film Festival. Excited to see it with everyone there at the end of July!

✅ We have been selected at the Dutch Tilt Film Festival!

Lil Yoyo and the Robot Shorty will screen July 25th at the Holland Theatre in Bellefontaine, OH. Congrats to the cast and crew and I look forward to watching the film with a live audience again! 🍿🎥

My biggest problem with AI films is that it takes away the beautiful collaborative mess that is filmmaking.

A film set is an organized chaos of artists coming together with one shared goal - create the best film you can.

When you are creating a film, it will never be the same project that you envisioned in your head when you started it. In every step of the production, someone is giving a piece of themselves to the project. Whether it's an actor suggesting a new reaction or emotion into a scene, a gaffer suggested a new lighting setup, a writer suggesting a missing scene, or an editor adding an unexpected pace to the film, a film is created by the perspectives of everyone working on it.

Filmmaking is a community art form driven by people who are passionate about doing their part to tell a story. That is what makes a film emotional and a story powerful. And I think you lose that with AI.
