Youth Challenge of Hampton Roads is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the restoration of lives and families that have been devastated by drug addiction and alcoholism.
Since 1979, Youth Challenge has brought hope to thousands of hurting people. This long term residential discipleship program has provided those lost in the grip of addiction with the structure and life skills needed to become the loving parent and responsible citizen that God created them to be.

It changes pretty much daily so keep checking back if you are looking for someone in particular. They have gerbils, rabbits, genuine pigs, snakes, dogs, cats and who knows what else. It’s different every time I go.

After church I wondered around in weather that was nice enough to go sleevless. Then I happened upon this lake, one section totally canopied in trees, ice still intact. As if it was frozen in time and not part of the overall reality. I got lost in it and just sat there, in the mud bank, in my Sunday best, and absorbed what mother nature had to say. I am sure I looked like a crazy lady to anyone that passed by sitting in the mud in a dress and heals looking around in deep thought. The whole world just melts away if you let it.

This was a newborn shoot from last August of hours old little Joseph. Mama was too worn out for a full shoot but we still got a few shots of the little guy.

We had planned a full birth and newborn shoot but mama was very tired and needed rest. We still grabbed a few shots of the adorable Mr. Joseph and Great Auntie too.
