There’s just something about getting married in the backyard. 🤍
No huge production. No trying to make the day into something it isn’t. Just your favorite people gathered close, a place that already feels like home, and the person you’ve chosen to do life with.
Jasmine + Garrett’s microwedding was intimate, relaxed, and full of the kind of moments I love most—the ones that don’t need to be manufactured to mean something.
Because your wedding doesn’t have to be big to be unforgettable.
It just has to feel like you.

HOT TAKE: YOU DON’T NEED AN UNPLUGGED CEREMONY! Other wedding photographers, please don’t come for me.

Hear me out. Your wedding day means a lot to the people that came, and that photo that your mom took of you walking down the aisle? They may mean everything to her one day, and she deserves to have it.

However, I don’t think your guests should spend the entire ceremony on the phone or block the photo and video team by standing or getting in the aisle. There’s a happy medium. They can take a few photos, capture the memory from their point a view, and then put the phone down so they can be in the moment.

You don’t necessarily need an unplugged ceremony.
Maybe you just need a considerate one. 🤍

Nothing about this photo was planned.

We were just on our way to family portraits and Amber & Lex looked back on all the people they loved that showed up to their wedding.

No posing. No direction. No ‘look at each other laugh’ (a normal go-to)

This was just two people who had just left the alter. Sixty seconds after “you may kiss the bride,” and already so freaking happy.

Sometimes the best photo aren’t the ones that are planned. They are those tiny moments in between - those moments that you don’t even realized were happening.

This is when the little moments become the big memories.

Maybe the chicest thing you can do on your wedding day is choosing presence over perfection.

Be fully there.
Cry during the vows.
Laugh when something doesn’t go according to plan.
Hold hands a little tighter.
Stay on the dance floor one more song.

The little moments become the big memories, and those are the ones you’ll want to relive for years to come.
