I actually get ask this question quite a bit! And as far as I’m concerned, the fur babies are always welcome! I will say, whenever I am ask this question, I almost always say yes, but I do follow it up with this: we had our black lab in our engagement photos years ago. We thought it was gonna be so cute, and easy. However, it was anything but easy. 🤣 He was way too excited and on his worst behavior.
•
But in the same breath, don’t let that discourage you from including them in the memory. I know there will be a day when I will cherish those blurry photos of my “first born”.
•
This milestone session was in celebration of graduating college! Which is a milestone that should not go uncelebrated! It’s such a huge accomplishment and I’m always excited when I am ask to take a small part of it!
•
If you’re gearing up for senior year, go ahead and message me! My fall dates are filling up quickly and as we all know that is the BEST time of year to get photos done!
•

Happy, happy Friday to those who celebrate! 🤣🤪

Just throwing it back a few weeks to share with yall two of my favorite girlies! 😍 I have so many sessions that I need to share here, but it’s so hard to narrow it down! I have had such a blessed year in this space and we still have a few months to go!

My holiday (I know, it’s only August) schedule is filling up quickly so let’s get those fall photos scheduled! It’s truly going to be December before we know it.

I realized while going through emails this afternoon that I hadn’t shared any of my mommy and me mini sessions from this spring! I am going to work on compiling some of those to share, because they’re easily some of my favorite sessions EVERY year.
•
So in the meantime I thought I’d share two of my favorites from my family’s session. My momma and Nanny, and then my mom and I. I know these are pictures I will always treasure. So if you’re ever on the fence about doing generational photos, don’t be. It will be a resounding “DO IT” from me. We had four generations in the studio.
•
I know I live in the prayers of these two women, everyday. And for that, I’m grateful. 🫶🏼
•

You know it’s a good one when you just can’t pick a FEW favorites. These sweet friends will be welcoming their baby boy in just a few shot days and we are so excited for them! We also took the photos at what will be their new home so so soon. What a special session documenting this season for them. 🫶🏼

We have had a crazy packed weekend but I hope it’s been a wonderful one!

I’ve been thinking a lot about dreams lately.
•
Praying about them, actually. I heard something the other day, probably on a podcast, where someone said, “we have to let God in on our dreams”. Obviously, God already knows the things on our hearts and minds. But I think sometimes we forget to talk to him about our fears surrounding those dreams, the day to day “how am I practically even going to do this” kind of thing.
I know I do.
•
We forget to ask him to guide our path. Show us the right people. It’s all tiny details, but He’s the God in the details.
•
I have a big big dream I have been holding onto. And I hope to share that dream this year, publicly. But right now, me and God are talking about it. My latest prayer has been this:
“Lord, if it is from you let it be. But if it’s not help me to let it go”
We like to hold onto our daydreams. Not talk about them. Not share them. I know I do that. We experience bumps in the road on the way to those dreams and it makes you wonder, is this even right? Is this even what God actually has for me?
•
I have experienced a few minor “bumps” and I was genuinely praying “God if it’s not meant to be, you have to help me let it go, because I am white knuckling this. I want it so bad.” I told a friend that it’s all in Gods timing, but boy that’s easy to say and hard to live out.
•

I was reminded yesterday after booking a senior session that it’s not too early! I know we just celebrated the class of 2026 graduating, but it’ll be the class of 2027’s turn before we know it!
