Slowly, autumn is beginning to make its presence felt here, too… 🍂

Little by little, step by step, it quietly finds its way into my life, painting the world in softer colors and wrapping familiar places in a gentle, golden melancholy.

I try to capture these fleeting moments, to hold on to their beauty just a little longer, and share them with you… one frame at a time. 🍁📸

Very looooong post:
🌺 16 hours. A thousand colors. Countless sounds and scents. An extraordinary journey into a world I had never experienced before… 🇰🇭

Sometimes life takes us to places we never expected to visit. Sometimes, all it takes is a single invitation to cross not only a geographical border, but also a cultural one — stepping beyond our familiar customs, assumptions, and experiences.

I had the honor of attending a traditional Cambodian wedding. My very first one. And while a wedding, no matter where in the world it takes place, is a celebration of love, family, and a new beginning, the way people celebrate these moments can be remarkably different from what we know.

What I witnessed was an extraordinary encounter with another world.

A world filled with a dazzling array of colors, intricate decorations, flowers, symbols, and traditional attire so beautiful and elaborate that words can hardly do it justice. A world of ceremonies, gestures, and customs whose meanings I could only begin to discover. A world of flavors, scents, and sounds that came together to create an atmosphere impossible to recreate anywhere else.

Was there a culture shock? Absolutely! 😉

Different clothing, different customs, different food, and a completely different rhythm to the entire celebration. There were surprises, moments of curiosity, and countless occasions when I simply stood back and absorbed everything happening around me.

And the celebration itself? Absolutely wonderful!

Because although our cultures may differ in so many ways, the joy of coming together to celebrate remains surprisingly universal.

As a Pole, a European living in the American South, I had the opportunity to see the world from a different perspective. For more than sixteen hours, I was a guest in a world that was not part of my everyday life, yet one that welcomed me in and allowed me to become a small part of it — if only for one extraordinary day.

And for that, I am truly grateful.

My sincere thanks go to the bride and groom, their parents, and everyone who trusted me enough to invite me to share in this special occasion. The opportunity to experience another culture should never be taken for granted. It is a privilege. And when that experience is accompanied by the warmth and kindness of its hosts, it becomes a memory that stays with you for a very long time.

Thank you for this day, for your hospitality, your openness, and the opportunity to witness something that cannot be fully understood through books or screens alone.

📸 And now, I invite you to join me on a photographic journey through a few glimpses of this extraordinary celebration.

I tried to capture the colors, emotions, details, traditional attire, and moments that caught my eye. But photography, as powerful as it is at freezing time, has its limitations. It cannot preserve every sound, recreate every scent, or fully convey the atmosphere — or that special feeling you get when you discover just how much there is still to learn about the world.

What I couldn't capture with my camera will remain with me in my memories.

The memories of a Pole, a European living in the American South, who spent more than sixteen hours experiencing a traditional Cambodian wedding.

May your journey together be filled with love, mutual respect, patience, and joy. May each new day bring you reasons to smile, and may the life you build together become the most beautiful journey you could ever take — side by side.

May happiness accompany you not only on your wedding day, but throughout all the wonderful years that lie ahead.

And to all my friends and followers, here are a few frames from those sixteen-plus hours of unforgettable experiences.

If you would like to see more photographs and discover more of this story, let me know in the comments. Perhaps this is only the first chapter of the journey…

Because sometimes, all it takes is a single invitation to discover an entirely new world. 🌺📸

Oj bedzie dlugo:
🌺 16 godzin. Tysiące barw. Niezliczone dźwięki i zapachy. Jedna niezwykła podróż do świata, którego wcześniej nie znałem… 🇰🇭

Granicę własnych przyzwyczajeń, wyobrażeń i doświadczeń.

A zabawa? Przednia!

To przywilej.

Dara & Davkitiya — ❤️

Życzę Wam, aby Wasza wspólna droga była pełna miłości, wzajemnego szacunku, cierpliwości i radości. Niech każdy kolejny dzień przynosi Wam powody do uśmiechu, a wspólne życie okaże się najpiękniejszą podróżą, jaką można odbyć we dwoje.

Jeśli chcielibyście zobaczyć więcej zdjęć i poznać tę historię szerzej — dajcie znać w komentarzach.

Bo czasami wystarczy jedno zaproszenie, by odkryć cały nowy świat. 🌺📸

I'm still going to keep sharing photos from The National Infantry Museum because this place truly left a lasting impression on me. I was amazed by the incredible exhibits, the history they preserve, and the stories of courage, sacrifice, and service told throughout the museum.

I promised myself that one day I'll come back, because there's still so much more to see and experience. It's one of those places that deserves more than just a single visit.

For now, here's another collection of photos from this unforgettable museum. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

A few quiet minutes in the garden, where time seems to slow down. The hummingbirds are putting on quite a performance, dancing from flower to flower and stopping by the sugar-water feeders like tiny winged jewels. Nature never runs out of magic.

Vol 3.....people
Stepping back in time at the National Infantry Museum at Fort Benning (now Fort Moore). Standing beside life-size historical figures dressed in authentic military uniforms from different eras really puts history into perspective. Seeing them at human scale makes it easy to compare their size, equipment, and uniforms across generations of soldiers.

Vol. 2 - Tanks........

Today, I'd like to share a few snapshots from an enormous vehicle hall—roughly the size of a football field—housing dozens of tanks and other armored vehicles. The collection spans more than a century of military history, from some of the earliest armored machines ever built to modern battle tanks.

Many of these vehicles have remarkable stories of their own. Some were recovered from swamps after decades beneath the surface, while others were brought back from desert battlefields. What makes this collection truly special is that these are not replicas—they are authentic combat vehicles that served in real conflicts. Standing next to them, touching the steel, comparing their massive armor, and seeing the incredible variety of engineering and design up close is an experience that's difficult to put into words.

The exhibits reveal just how dramatically armored warfare evolved over time. From primitive machines that required a single crew member to crawl behind what was barely more than an experimental vehicle, to the enormous steel giants of World War I that demanded crews of more than a dozen soldiers to operate them.

The collection takes visitors on a journey through the First and Second World Wars, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the Cold War, and conflicts fought across the deserts of the Middle East. It is far more than a display of military hardware—it is a fascinating lesson in history, engineering, and the extraordinary pace of technological development.
Over the next few days, I'll be sharing a selection of photos from our visit. I hope you'll enjoy following along!

Today's visit to the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, located on the grounds of an active U.S. military base, was an unforgettable experience. After completing the registration and security verification process, we were granted access to the base and had the opportunity to visit several areas open to the public.

The level of authenticity, accuracy, and attention to detail exceeded all of our expectations. We were also impressed by the wealth of information provided and the outstanding quality of the exhibits and dioramas.

It felt like traveling through time, from the 18th century to the present day.

Over the next few days, I'll be sharing a selection of photos from our visit. I hope you'll enjoy following along!
