Our featured artist of the week is local photographer…Ben Reeder!
Ben grew up near the coast of New Hampshire. He has traveled across the United States and has lived in New York City, Los Angelos and Boston, but found that nothing compares to the small towns in New Hampshire.
He graduated Colby Sawyer College, in New London, New Hampshire, with a focus on communications. After college he pursued a career in sports journalism and worked for Fox Sports in both New York and California. He eventually made the shift to work in higher education, and photography became an important part of his life as a creative outlet, balancing his day-to-day life and allowing him to connect with nature and the local community through his photos.
Ben eventually returned to Newmarket, New Hampshire, where he now lives with his two children.
Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Acadia National Park are Ben’s favorite places to photograph.
