Deer Farm CX 2023

Just like many of the riders, this was my first CX race of the year. And just like many of the riders, rust was worked loose, kinks were worked out and fun was had.
It’s always a good time running around from point A to B on a CX course and being able to see the race unfold, up close and personal. This race was particularly fun, being located so close to home and having that grassroots charm, all while still delivering an exciting and unique course!
If you race CX or want a fun place to watch some local racing, put on your calendar next year!

Early Autumn

Fall seems to have rolled up much sooner this year than last. I’m guessing that the wet and cloudy summer and spring has a something to do with, but I’m not sure. The golden rod is in full bloom and apples are almost ripe. Before you know it the wood stove will be blazing and there will be frost on the grass. Better make the most of the time between now and then!

Played Bikes and Boats this weekend in Bangor. Took a float right through downtown and dumped out into the Penobscot River. It’s amazing to see how much potential these little watercraft’s have! If you’re curious to learn more or want to experience them first hand, definitely reach out to to learn more! A great guide with heaps of patience and knowledge to share with newbies like myself!

Titcomb Mountain Challenge

Took the trip up to Farmington to capture all its humble glory. Nestled in the backwoods of Maine, this small ski slope packed an awesome venue for some mountain bike mayhem. It’s been raining pretty nonstop for the last week or so, which made the conditions pretty inclement. However, that did not stop the riders from showing up and showing out! Covered in mud and grime from the gun, riders endured an ~8 mile course that sent them to the summit twice and through the muck and the mire elsewhere. I had a blast shooting this event and was glad everyone looked like they were having fun on course as well!
