Specializing in families, farms, and artisans, I bring a visual storytelling style to create candid, natural light photographs that capture people as they are, and the spaces and artifacts that define them. For farm and artisan visual identity work I collaborate with my dear friend and woodblock artist Sarah Koff () in our joint project, Ink + Light Creative.

This is me, in the August heat. Happy and completely exhausted from moving house, sitting at the first fun thing we did in our new area: a folk music fest that was pure hippie magic. I was inspired by a few weeks back to play with the camera, step out in front of it. Be as real as I ask my clients to be. And you know what? I kinda love it. Photo by my kid, whom I love with all my heart.

How are we doing, friends? Sending some gentle-fierce mama energy your way on this Saturday from a beautiful in-home Family Ramble a few weeks back. A birthday gift from this mama’s partner, we got her in the frame doing the most magical everyday things, communicating love at every turn.

My love note to a dance studio. Our younger kid wasn’t feeling ballet, and despite our best attempts and love of her fantastic instructor, she was voicing to us that ballet just wasn’t her jam. Without hesitation, owner Jenny offered a modern dance class with amazing teacher Ms. Angie. Angie was so welcoming and warm and knew all the tricks to get our kiddo stoked to move limbs and torso and toes. I waited just out of sight, available but hopefully not too distracting while I peeked in now and again. By the end, our girl was marching out, chin held high, excited for next week. Thank you thank you for all you do, .studios — you remind us that dance is so much more than movement and we cherish our time in the studio with you.
