To all of my amazing clients,

As our family prepares to welcome our newest little one, I wanted to let you know that I will officially begin maternity leave on August 1st.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you and for your continued support of my photography business. It has truly been an honor to capture your family’s special moments.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a session I encourage you to reach out soon, as my remaining availability is limited. I will do my best to accommodate sessions before August 1st.

During my maternity leave, responses may be delayed as I take time to heal and enjoy these precious first moments with my growing family. I’ll share updates about my return date once I’m settled and ready to get back behind the camera.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support during this exciting season of life. I can’t wait to photograph more beautiful memories for you when I return!

This is a question photographers get asked more often than you’d think:

“How often should we actually be doing this?”

And the honest answer is—it depends.

Not on trends.
Not on what everyone else is doing.

It depends on the stage your children are in.

Because kids don’t grow in a steady, predictable way. They grow in bursts. And some seasons pass quicker than we realize.

Those early years change fast.

Faces soften and stretch.
Baby rolls fade away.
Tiny hands grow stronger and more sure.

From newborn through the preschool years, I typically recommend updating family photos once a year—if you’re able.

Not because you have to.
But because those seasons don’t last long.

When families come back year after year during this stage, the transformation is incredible. Side by side, you see growth in a way that’s easy to miss in everyday life.

It becomes a visual timeline—not just of your children, but of you growing right alongside them.
