Reflection on 2025
As this year comes to a close, I’ve been sitting with what it really gave me not just in work, but in perspective.
2025 reminded me that community building is crucial. Nothing meaningful happens in isolation. The relationships built with couples, families, vendors, and fellow creatives are what give the work its depth.
It reinforced that client experience always matters. Long before the camera comes out and long after the gallery is delivered, how people feel stays with them. That responsibility isn’t small.
I was reminded to never downplay the importance of a wedding day. No matter how many I photograph, each one carries its own weight, its own history, its own future unfolding in real time.
I learned that appreciation shows up in different ways sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly, sometimes much later. And all of it matters.
Photography also reaffirmed its permanent nature. These images will outlive the day, the year, even us. That’s humbling. And it’s grounding.
I allowed myself to feel the day more deeply to stay present, to move slower when needed, to recognize that emotion is not something to avoid, but something to honor.
I’m endlessly thankful to be trusted on such important days, invited into spaces filled with vulnerability, joy, nerves, love, and memory.
And in moments when life felt heavy, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude to still be doing what I love, to still be curious, to still be creating.
I’m closing this year with appreciation, humility, and a deeper respect for the work and the people who make it possible.
Thank you for being part of my 2025.
