Sorry for the radio silence- we've been busy having an EPIC Water Workshop (posts to follow- and check my FB group if you want to see lots from this year's attendees)! I love capturing portraits of motherhood, but don’t always have the words to describe it, especially to those who haven’t experienced it themselves. It’s an excruciating beauty, one where you question every choice and then question it again, hoping that you aren’t irrevocably making an error you can’t fix. It’s an ocean full of sunlight and currents where you’re overwhelmed by its wild perfection but also scared to be pulled under. It’s the best adventure. Happy belated Mother’s Day. ❤️

I think bo***ir is one of those things that many of us think about as a "someday" idea but few every truly feel ready for. However, I can promise you that after almost a decade of capturing women in every stage of life, there is no better time than now. These sessions are for pregnant women, for those in their 70s (and up!) who never appreciated their body when they were younger, for those who tell themselves "I just need to lose a few more pounds first", for all of us. You don't need to show up a certain way- you just need to show up.

Since I was a little girl, I've always loved reading. Books have such a magical way to transport you to new places, teach you about the world, expand your imagination, and make you cry, laugh, etc. Unless you're a reader yourself, you don't know the book depression when you finish a series and mourn the loss of people who don't actually exist (in our world, at least). So grateful for my friends like who brings new worlds to life for the rest of us through her books.

Well actually, it’s both. 💙 I’ll always be a mum first and foremost and wouldn’t change that for the world, but I’m so grateful for every travel opportunity I’ve had too. Who says we can’t have it all?!
