This was one EPIC family photo shoot! 🦖
Dinosaurs, dramatic lighting, and a family who was completely willing to play along! We had such a great time recreating scenes inspired by Jurassic Park, and honestly, the experience of making these images was half the adventure. This is exactly the kind of photography I love: creating something imaginative together and everyone having a blast in the process.
And because I’ve already heard the question: No, I didn’t ask AI to create these photographs or add dinosaurs to them. The family was photographed by me, and I built the finished scenes in Photoshop using dinosaur PNG overlays that I purchased and licensed from an independent digital artist on Etsy. (I can’t speak to what tools the original artist may have used to create the dinosaurs themselves.) The compositing, lighting, placement, color work, shadows, and all the little details that make the dinosaurs belong in the photographs were done as part of my editing process. Because, sadly, my budget did not include actual dinosaurs. 😂🦖
Sometimes a family portrait can be more than a picture. It can be an adventure. And, as Dr. Ian Malcolm would say… “Life finds a way.” 🦖🌿
