Although I didn't have many, I did have one major regret with my own wedding in 2010.

And it was not hiring a videographer.

Now, that was 10 years ago, and I feel like video wasn't as big of a deal as it is now. But when my sister was getting married last year, and she asked me what my thoughts were on hiring one or not, I most definitely recommended it. I have very few "must-haves" for a wedding day, but if your budget allows for one, I would not skip a videographer.

There are so many talented videographers + creators out there in the industry who create the most beautiful visual representations of your special day. Having both videographer + photographer gets you the best of both worlds. They are the power pair your wedding day needs.

Months and years later, when your memory fades, you will have footage and clips from that special day with friends and loved ones. And that's one investment you'll never regret ❀

Just having one of those Mondays + trying to shake it 😜 it doesn't help that a holiday weekend (aka short week) is on the horizon!
Working to get back into the groove of things, however or whatever that looks like now. Trying to be easy on myself and be patient, but that's not my natural tendency 😏 anyone else? πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ
I'll be posting availability soon, working on my website (again ha), updating sessions + pricing so if you are wanting or needing to book, do it now before I update my prices! You can book now with the lower prices for a session later in the year! Think fall family sessions, Christmas card pics (I know, it's starting to be that time!), grad pics, a fun couples session, branding + content shoot - any of those you can book now!
Message me to schedule + book your session with me! 😘

Reminiscing back on this day ❀ I may be a little bias because it was my sister, but it was absolutely perfect. I was able to snag a few shots pre-ceremony. Their wedding was so colorful and so beautiful. It was so them. The ceremony was probably my favorite part. So unique and special.

Not to mention these lake views 😍😍

I haven't decided if this week flew by or if it was the longest week ever.

Either way, I'm spinning into the weekend and loving my days off πŸ’« currently watching season 2 of Dead to Me and we are almost done! Holy moly! The last few episodes are crazy!

Anyway, hope you're enjoying your weekend doing whatever you enjoy 😊

5 small things I'm grateful for this week:

1. My job. And the ability to work from home. And having flexibility with my schedule, especially my Fridays off.

2. Technology. For allowing me to stay connected with friends near and far.

3. Coffee. It has tasted extra good this week, and Idk why. But I like it.

4. Eyebrow gel. I feel so put together with a good strong bow.

5. My health. This one isn't small, but I'm always grateful for everyday I wake up and am able to plant my feet to the floor.

This work week has been one helluva week, but I made it and the weekend is here. Looking back and reflecting on the little things I was grateful for this week, not gonna lie, I was stuck after the first one. But then I thought about all the good things that went right this week or the little things that made me smile.

What's one small thing you're grateful for this week? πŸ’•

"...one only gains higher ground by climbing up through the valleys." - W. Phillip Keller, A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23

This excerpt was part of the sermon this last Sunday, and it struck me so hard I actually gasped out loud and instantly bolded it in my notes. I've been loving this new series "How Then Should We Live", and this week was all about trust.

Faith and trust go hand in hand, and both can be very hard topics to talk about and fully understand and comprehend. But there's just something so beautiful in letting go.

The full surrender.

A complete exhale.
