Meet Andrea Hecker, our first featured Ye Olde Mill employee! ✨

Andrea is an upcoming senior in high school and plans to study psychology after graduation. She joined the Velvet Ice Cream team because she wanted to work somewhere unique, and now, she has worked at Velvet Ice Cream & Ye Olde Mill for two years.

Andrea started as an ice cream scooper and has since grown into several roles, including scooper, cashier, and server. She has also had the opportunity to train new employees, which she says she loves! You may even see her working with our truck drivers as they deliver ice cream.

Andrea was first introduced to Velvet through her mom, Charlotte Edwards, who is a delivery merchandiser at Velvet. “Working for Velvet has impacted me and so many other people in the best way possible,” Andrea shared.

And of course, we had to ask her favorite flavor. Her answer? Buckeye Classic! 🍫🥜

Andrea says, “I definitely recommend trying it. It’s a personal favorite!”
