When I didn't know I had a dad and my mom was never home she was there to help guide me and show me what family looked like, what a steady life could look like. She showed me what it meant to come home after a busy day and sit around the dinner table together as a family, what it felt like to be tucked in before bed, and what routine could look like. She cooked homemade meals, grew her own vegetables, put her children first, and somehow after having 5 children of her own let me be the 6th. She was such a huge influence on the type of wife and mother I am today and I am very thankful to her for that.
