Thanks RitFit · Fitness Equipment for sending me these bar clamps. I checked the mail this evening and this was an awesome surprise in there that I wasn’t expecting. They sent me some other great stuff that should all be here this week as well.

You’ve gotta get comfortable with being uncomfortable if you ever wanna become the best version of yourself.

After my accident, I didn’t have a choice but to learn that lesson every single day. It’s been a year and a half, and I still deal with pain in my chest and rib cage. The plates cause pain daily, make sleep difficult, and remind me that healing isn’t always something people can see.

Some days it’s hard just to feel normal. But if I wanted to live my life, train, grow, and keep moving forward, I had to learn how to keep showing up, even when I was uncomfortable.

Fitness became more than just working out for me. It became a way to take control of what I could control. I honestly don’t know where I’d be physically or mentally if I hadn’t decided to take my health into my own hands.

The pain may still be there, but so is the work. So is the progress. So is the purpose.

And one day, when I finally have insurance, I want to work with a counselor and truly process everything this accident put me through. A near-fatal crash doesn’t just end when you leave the hospital. The after-effects stay with you in ways most people will never understand.

But I’m still here. Still training. Still fighting. Still becoming.

I’ve been training on the GOIMU LM-L5 Compact 30° Leg Press/Hack Squat for the past few weeks, and it has earned a real place in my gym.

The hack squat is the standout for me. The carriage is very smooth on the rails, the movement feels controlled, and I can get into a deep range without fighting the machine. Switching it over to leg press is comfortable too, especially considering this is a compact 3-in-1 unit that also covers calf raises.

It has a 30° design instead of the typical 45° setup, plus a compact 71” x 45” footprint, so it makes a lot of sense for home gyms where floor space matters. It also has adjustable safety positions, back-pad settings, and an adjustable footplate to dial in your setup.

My one critique: I’d love to see even more footplate adjustment. With my squat shoes, though, that small heel elevation gets me into a really solid position and makes it work perfectly for how I train.

I’ve had 10 plates loaded on it in use, obviously you should stay within the manufacturer’s stated limits and use the safeties correctly, but it has felt stable and capable in my sessions with that much weight loaded.

Full review is coming soon, including a direct comparison with GOIMU’s more traditional leg press/hack squat combo machine, the L2-V4.

If you’re trying to build serious legs without dedicating half your gym to one machine while helping your wallet out, this one deserves a look.

This S7 has quickly become one of my favorite pieces in Horsley’s Gym. It is incredibly easy to get set up on, easy to use, and most importantly, it absolutely lights up your back.

I loaded 250 lb on it for this session, and the machine felt rock solid. There was no noticeable flex or wobble, and even with that weight, the linear bearings tracked straight and smooth with zero binding.

The rail system feels much more premium than I expected, and the chest-supported setup makes it easy to focus on pulling hard and getting quality work into your lats and upper back.

After my accident, where I broke my sternum and had 30 rib fractures, that much loading was still a little uncomfortable against my chest. I expect that to improve as I continue healing, but I wanted to be transparent about my experience.

Overall, I am very pleasantly surprised by how good this machine is. The build feels strong, the movement stays smooth under serious weight, and it makes back training simple and effective.

Full review coming soon. Huge thank you again to Mikolo Fitness for sending the S7 out to Horsley’s Gym.

Huge thank you to Mikolo Fitness for sending out the S7 Linear Row Machine for Horsley’s Gym.

After assembling it and getting my first workout in, I’m honestly impressed with how solid this machine feels.

The S7 is a plate-loaded, chest-supported linear row built for training your lats, upper back, mid-back, and rear delts without having to worry as much about lower-back fatigue or using momentum. The dual linear rails and bearings feel very smooth, the frame feels heavy-duty, and the fixed rowing path keeps the movement stable when you start loading it up.

What I like most so far:
• Heavy-duty, high-quality feel
• Smooth rails and bearings throughout the entire rep
• Chest support helps you focus on pulling with your back
• Multiple antler-handle grip options for different back angles
• Compact enough to make sense in a serious home or garage gym
• Easy assembly—it took me about 40 minutes from start to finish

My one small critique is the knurling on the antler handles. It is absolutely good enough to use with no issues, but more aggressive knurling would make the grip feel even more premium.

If you are looking for a dedicated back machine for a home gym and want a smooth chest-supported row that feels sturdy, the S7 is definitely worth looking into. I’ll keep putting it through real back workouts and will share a longer-term update once I have more time with it.

I had to increase the hunger.

I had to raise the desperation.

And I had to become laser focused.

After my accident, getting my life and strength back wasn’t just something I wanted anymore, it was something I needed.

I became hungry for the man I knew I could be again.

Desperate enough to try anything that could help me rebuild.

Focused enough to stop treating progress like a hobby.

That focus changed EVERYTHING.

I stopped looking at training as just working out. I started attacking every piece of the process: diet, training, exercise, recovery, sleep, supplementation, discipline, and faith.

Because real transformation does not come from one perfect workout. It comes when your whole life starts moving in the same direction.

The gym did not just help me rebuild strength.

It helped me rebuild belief.

When your reason becomes stronger than your excuses, your life begins to change.

This is only the beginning.

I’ve been building a home gym for the last 6 weeks, doing everything myself. From framing, electric, insulation, drywall, mini split installation. 100% done myself. This is the first look at it. Should have hex lights up, mirrors up and equipment going in the space in the next couple days. Full video coming soon!
