Inner Wheel Lift Technique vs. Lidless Gutter

Throwback to some years ago when I drifted the AE86 over this lidless gutter here at Nagao in Assetto Corsa.

I had Ryosuke on the voice over, with his explanation of the inner wheel lift technique.

It's cool looking back and remembering that it wasn't really a technique I tried to use much because of how risky it is, but now it feels more of a simple technique.

Weight moves around all the time, but you can do a weight transfer and direct exactly where you want the weight to go. When you move the weight off the front inside tire, it's less likely to be "heavy" and fall into the ditch below.

Hooking the gutter is another technique and even more risky.

Either way, all these techniques you learn and discover are to be mastered and THEN can be used effectively in battle. Always going for the inside, always going for the "move" is a bad habit on the touge, and likely leads to death or accidents.

A good touge dogfight is technique and strategy, not just the fastest line/laptime.

Use your sim time effectively, respect your opponents, train to the limit!
