Every time I go to New York I think about the hundreds of times I’ve run around that city carrying heavy s**t. 😂 First, it was amps and guitars, then lighting gear and racks of clothes, but these days it’s usually just a camera or portfolio of images. Way more convenient going up and down the subway stairs.

This past week in New York, I got to share that portfolio of images with some new people, which had me wrestling with old and new work as I tried to sum up a career as a photographer and director. It’s always a battle to edit and cull your work, revisiting old imagery and squeezing in the new. Still something I’m working on but as I work through it, I’m partnering with to give that portfolio new life online and share my imagery with more people in the industry. Nothing like a horizontal photo to really trigger the Instagram algorithm these days…

The last two days at have been a surreal trip back in time when first changed the photography industry by investing a huge amount of resources in the communities of creators closest to their cameras. This Kando has been no different and continued to change the game for creators across mediums.

Seeing old friends and catching up has been a bit more of a priority for me than taking photos this time around but I managed to grab a few moments today with to try to make some magic. Here’s a quick 10min edit, shot on the

A couple more frames from my shoot for Xperia 1 IV. For this image we stylized the scene with a heavy silhouette from an Aperture behind .fullinwider and a little help from a bounce in front. Most of the heavy lifting was done by the Xperia sensor in moody lighting conditions and a plastic spray bottle doin work adding the atmosphere.
