Honored to present The Last Memories of Home, my artistic project, at the Canadian Mission to the United Nations () during the Second International Migration Review Forum 2026.

Being part of Celebrating Migrant Contributions was deeply meaningful, a reminder that migration is not only movement across borders, but also memory, resilience, identity, and home carried within us.

Thankful for everyone who engaged with the work and for the conversations created around migrant stories, contributions, and belonging ✨

The Invisible Shore-Serie
In the Dominican Republic, two landscapes constantly coexist: the paradise sold to the outside world, and the lives pushed to the margins.

Between beauty and harshness, between what is visible and what remains unseen, I photographed small gestures of solitude, resistance, and waiting.

Shot on analog film, this series emerged from walking through the island and sitting with what I encountered: the sea as both beauty and border, polluted shorelines, and the constant presence of communities existing within spaces that are often ignored or made invisible.

These images do not seek to explain an island, nor to speak for anyone. They simply attempt to move closer to what I felt while walking through it; the uneasy coexistence between what is shown and what people choose not to see.

When I met this Venezuelan mother and her two children in NYC (2024-2025), they had already been in the U.S. for a year. But “arrival” didn’t mean “stability.” Instead, it meant a new kind of survival: changing shelters every 60 days, constantly changing schools and jobs, and looking for mental health support from NGOs
After the Darién is a story written by and and investigated how the U.S. systems were failing the most vulnerable after the crossing is over. The Darién Gap was the first hurdle; the U.S. system was the second.

Honored to have one my photos about Education Crisis in Venezuela be part of the exhibition at the United Nations in Geneva as part of “Challenging Narratives, Reshaping Action”, a multi-format exhibition marking the 6th International Day to Protect Education from Attack. September 9th, 2025.

This exhibition, organized by Education Above All Foundation and its partners, explores the impact of attacks on education and efforts to protect education in conflict or crisis-affected areas.

I’m also honored to be included in such significant exhibition together with amazing talented photographers

“Education No Longer Guaranteed” | Caracas, Venezuela.
Nathalie Sayago | 2019

Venezuela’s prolonged humanitarian crisis—fueled by economic collapse, political instability, and widespread violence—has severely disrupted the nation’s education system.

According to The Andres Bello Catholic University (UCAB) by 2023, many schools lacked electricity, clean water, and basic teaching materials. In some regions, gang control and insecurity make it dangerous for children to attend school at all.

Education, once a pathway to opportunity, is now a privilege out of reach for millions.

“I went to say goodbye to my family. I remember my father; he was developing dementia. He was quite well at that point.

I had heard from somewhere: we will be in permanent contact, and when I went to say goodbye to my father, I wasn’t even sure if he was understanding that I was leaving for a long time. Somehow, I said, we will be in contact permanently, and he said, That’s an exaggeration. Then, we laughed.”

“I remember my parents waving me goodbye in the airport. They didn’t support me coming here, but they were there for me, saying, We love you.”
