Once is a while I will see a vintage car that brings back that sense of nostalgia especially in the Lower East Side where you see remnants of that side of New York City only seen today in films and retro photos. For me, this was one of those moments that reminded me of a time of awakening, adventure, and childhood friends, some who are still friends today.

It was an amazing experience being in Chinatown during the first day of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Rabbit). I spent more time capturing people as they traversed Chinatown with excitement and curiosity. The multicolored confetti covering the streets and sidewalks added a festive and celebratory element. Happy New Year!

The following information below on the significance of the Year of the Rabbit was taken from chinahighlights.com -

“Years of the Rabbit include 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939, 1927...

2023 is a year of the Water Rabbit, starting from January 22nd, 2023 (Chinese New Year), and ending on February 9th, 2024 (Chinese New Year’s Eve). The sign of Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope.

People born in a year of the Rabbit are called “Rabbits” and are believed to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded, and ingenious.” (Excerpt taken from chinahighlights.com)

To end the year, we definitely can use your help - A member of our running family Aunt Denise Samantha Primus has been missing for a week. So our Saturday morning run was to run in different neighborhoods here in Brooklyn and post these flyers in hopes someone sees/seen her and if so, please reach out to the info below.

Take a look at slide 1 and see if she looks familiar or try keeping her in your memory in case you see her out and about.

Denise has difficulty communicating and is mentally challenged. Her family loves her and we’re all praying for a safe return.

Thank you.

Like any other Saturday, expecting the unexpected is the norm. collected toys for the .athletes.activists toy drive, celebrated the founder of , birthday, sang holiday songs with various other run crews, and of course shared miles. Not only do we spend good times together, they are also meaningful. Happy holidays.
