The Mongolian Meetup ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ณ
โ€ข
When the light didnโ€™t show up for the landscape, the people did. After days of photographing the frozen trees surrounding the Jargant River, we shifted gears. We drove around a nearby town of ~300 people in the northern Khuvsgul region, stopping to observe daily life unfolding in the snow. Sometimes the best images come when the plan changes.

Hereโ€™s a new set of eight photographs I created while exploring the ghost town of Kolmanskop in the Karas region of Namibia back in the summer of 2022.
โ€ข
Once a small but rich diamond mining village, this town was ultimately abandoned in 1956 and has since been reclaimed by the sands and winds of the Namib Desert. While crawling through sand-filled doorways and hallways, dragging my gear between a variety of different buildings, I was able to marvel at the old German style of architecture as well as the vibrant choice of wallpaper inside each space.
โ€ข
I was fortunate enough to spend numerous early mornings and late evenings inside Kolmanskop in order to scout out the best natural lighting and composition for each of these photos. The ghostly haunting beauty of this place is something I will surely never forget. Let me know your favorite shot in the comments below!๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜ โ€ข6/20-21/2022โ€ข

Hereโ€™s five different images that I created on my most recent trip to Namibia. Also known as Kokerboom Woud in Afrikaans, The Quiver Tree Forest is located in the southern region of Namibia just outside the city of Keetmanshoop. The trees themselves, although more closely related to the succulent plant Aloe vera, can be seen at The Quiver Tree Forest as well as at Giantโ€™s Playground nearby. These 5 photos were taken at both locations each which I had the fantastic opportunity to spend multiple sunrises, sunsets, and starry nights at. These are some of my favorites from the multiple days I spent there photographing these beautiful trees. I hope you enjoy! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜โ€ข6/18-19/2022โ€ข

Just about two months ago, I returned from a photography workshop with the great Israeli photo wizard . We spent two weeks exploring, photographing, and learning about the beautiful country of Namibia in the southern portion of Africa. Thereโ€™s a funny story behind this photo and the inspiration here. To this day, I vividly recall seeing a photograph taken by the ledgend of Deadvlei in the June 2011 issue of Nat Geo; I thought his shot looked more like a painting as it seemed โ€œtoo good to be trueโ€ in my young eyes at the time. What an incredible experience to fast forward 11 years later and find myself standing in the same African salt pan shooting the same beautiful dead Camel Thorn Trees. What a trip. Many more images to comeโ€ฆ Stay tuned.๐Ÿ˜โœŒ๐Ÿปโ€ข6/23/2022, 7:59amโ€ข

Finally starting to sort through some of my images created on my most recent 10 day trip to Israel. This one here, a 30 second exposure taken in Netanya, was from 32 stories up on the rooftop of our hotel. Although quite windy and foggy that night (and getting completely covered in bird p**p), it was great to spend a couple hours up here with . Relaxing above the cityscape, watching the cars go by, and taking in the views over the Mediterranean Sea: what I like to describe as โ€œliving life to the fullestโ€. Full image on my story.๐Ÿ˜ŽโœŒ๐Ÿปโ€ข5/30/2022, 1:07amโ€ข
