We originally planned this proposal at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The vision was lush greenery and tropical-inspired surroundings that would feel meaningful to the couple and their future wedding celebration in Asia.

But sometimes locations close, weather shifts, or circumstances change.

That’s why planning doesn’t stop at Plan A.

We pivoted to the Asian galleries at the Brooklyn Museum, and the result felt intentional, elegant, and uniquely theirs.

We faced more challenges where the most scenic spot was filled with chairs, tables and music equipment. That didn’t stop us from making the most of this location,

The best proposal photos aren’t about a perfect location. They’re about creating a meaningful experience no matter what the day brings.

Sometimes the location changes, but the meaning behind the moment remains the same. It was an absolute pleasure helping plan this proposal for and his beautiful@mbhavna , and I’m so grateful I got to witness the beginning of such a beautiful new chapter. Congratulations again! 💍

Sometimes the proposal planning begins long before the ring comes out. 💍

For this one, my client and I met at Brooklyn Botanic Garden to scout the right spot. Their wedding will be in India, and he wanted their engagement photos to reflect that feeling — greenery, nature, something that would make sense alongside their wedding celebration.

Even though I photograph here often, I still like to walk the location beforehand. Seasons change, lighting changes, and sometimes small details make all the difference when you’re planning a moment this meaningful.

Many of my clients live in NYC and can meet me to plan together. Others travel here from around the world, and in those cases I help guide the location and timing so everything feels effortless when the day arrives.
